Foot & Ankle Surgery

The foot and ankle region of the body is a complex area with multiple joints of various types which have an intricate relationship to the surrounding ligaments, tendons, nerves and vessels, which are greatly impacted by the overall alignment of the lower limb.

Some pathologies can be treated with the input of physiotherapy and with orthotics. However, some pathologies require surgical intervention to improve symptoms and ultimately restore function.

Surgical interventions that may be required:

• Deformity correction

• Ligament reconstruction

• Tendon transfer

• Arthrodesis

• Ankle replacement

• Arthroscopy
